Here, at Project Reality Mod, we have been laboring non-stop to produce a quality release of PR v0.5 for your enjoyment! Finally, the sustained delegation of all aspects of the mod team, from modelers to coders, has been successful! This being said, the Project Reality team is proud to announce the official release of Project Reality Mod v0.5 - the most realistic gaming experience available to Battlefield 2 enthusiasts at this time.
This 1.6gb file includes a tremendous number of alterations made to the existing Battlefield 2 system, as well as customized vehicles and weapons that have been heavily scrutinized by our �Military Advisor� team for accuracy and realism.
We have continued building on our foundations of the British Armed Forces in the last release by acquiring them the Land Rover light armored jeep, the Merlin HC3 transport helicopter, and more. The Chinese forces have received a much needed upgrade and are now armed with the powerful QBZ-95 Assault Rifle which can stand up to the likes of the M16 and L85A2. We have added an abundant amount of other extra content (listed below), but in this release our main focus was totally altering how the game is played, even more so than our previous releases! We have made numerous changes that are going to distinguish Project Reality�s gameplay from all other BF2 mods, even more so than before!
The default Battlefield 2 spawn system has been completely overhauled and reconfigured so that you will now have to rely on your Squad Leaders, newly added Rally Points, and APC�s for forward spawn points on the battlefield! Another major feature we have included in PRv0.5 is our revolutionary new vehicle damage system, which has been implemented on almost all vehicles available in PR. The logic behind this new system is simple; in the real-world, if you engage an enemy vehicle with a heavy AT weapon; you will more then likely implement some sort of severe damage, if not destroy the vehicle completely. Well, we have incorporated this logic in Project Reality. For example, you shoot a Heavy AT weapon at a tank. There is a chance that if you did not completely destroy the tank, you may instead have disabled its turret or damaged one of its tracks, rendering it immobile! This system is by no means limited to just ground forces as helicopters and other aircraft are just as vulnerable.
Building on top of our "Kit Limiting" system in the previous release, we have added a "Pilot" and "Crewman" kit that you must request and pickup before you to be able to fly an aircraft or operate a tank. Do not worry; the everyday grunt will still be able to drive a jeep around the map without a specific kit. Also, included in this release is our first map with a fully destructible environment! All the buildings on this map, Helmand Province, can be destroyed with explosives, such as an RPG round or C4 charge. While this map is relatively small, we hope to expand this concept into larger maps!
Included in the new release are the following game modes:
A) Advance and Secure v2 (NEW!) � In this game mode, each team battles over a "group" of control points (flags) at any given time. A team must capture the entire group of control points before moving on to the next designated group of control points. A "group" of control points can have as little as one control point in them, or as many as 5. One should expect fierce battles erupting over those flags, with very concentrated action where you get both a lot of attack and defence!
B) Extraction (aka XTRACT) � In this original PR game mode, one team works to withdraw a high-tier VIP from one point to a designated extraction point. That team succeeds by reaching the target destination with the VIP, while the defending team scores points by destroying/killing this VIP, and forcing heavy ticket loss on the attackers. The VIP can come currently, in 3 different forms:
* Armored SUV
* Downed Pilot
* Insurgent Leader
C) Conquest - The typical Battlefield 2 battle that you have all become accustomed to.

missäs näistä mapeista ovat ne tuhoutuvat objektit? en jaksa selailla kaikkia :)
Helmand Province-kentässä. Ne on semmoisia afghanistanilaisia savihökkeleitä, joita on kiva panostaa ja jäädä odottamaane brittien saapumista.
